Did you find something that doesn’t look right or have some feedback for us? Let us know! Here are a few ways you can contact us depending on the issue you encounter.
Diff Related Bugs
If you come across a diff that looks wrong or worse than a standard diff, please let us know so we can improve SemanticDiff. The easiest way to do so is to click on the bug icon in the upper right corner when viewing the affected diff:
This will open a modal dialog where you can provide more details and control how we handle this bug report:
The text box allows you to provide a brief description of what you think is wrong or should be improved. The two checkboxes below the text input have the following meaning:
-
Keep me updated about this issue
If you check this box, we will email you when there is progress on your bug report. -
Give our developers access to this diff
This checkbox is only visible for private repositories. If you check it, a copy of the diff you are currently viewing is send to our engineers for further analysis. Unless your feedback is very generic, we won’t be able to act on it unless this checkbox is checked.
Once you have filled out the form and are ready to submit your bug report, simply click Submit.
This method is especially useful if you are working on a private repository and want to inform us about a bad diff. Just enable the second checkbox and our engineers will be able to debug the issue without you having to send us the affected files through any other means. Please keep in mind that our engineers can only access the diff you are currently viewing (i.e. a single file). If multiple files are affected, they need to be reported individually.
Service unreachable
If you can’t load our GitHub App or get internal server errors, you may want to check our status page at status.semanticdiff.com. This is also where we post information about downtime or maintenance.
If your problem persists and all systems are working according to our status page, please send an email to support@semanticdiff.com.
Generic Bugs/Feedback
If you have found a bug that is not related to the diff or have generic feedback, you can open an issue in our public issue tracker. Here you can also vote for existing feature requests by using the :+1:
reaction emoji.
